PAGE ADVISOR'S REFERRAL PROGRAMME
Dear Page Advisor Community,
We started our referral programme with the intention of rewarding consumers for spreading the word about Page Advisor. Consumers who introduced their friends to Page Advisor would earn credits which can be used to offset future purchases through Page Advisor. Unfortunately we have seen our referral programme being subject to severe abuse over the last few days, and now need to take certain steps to ensure that these abuses are stopped.
CREATION OF MULTIPLE ACCOUNTS
“If you create an account on the Platform, you may only create and hold one (1) account that you are solely responsible for managing. Your account is non-transferrable and may not be sold, combined or otherwise shared with any other person. If you violate any of these terms, we may terminate your account and, without limitation, you may forfeit any amount due to be credited to you under or in respect of your account."
CONDITIONS OF EARNING CREDITS THROUGH THE REFERRAL PROGRAMME
We have made clear on our “Earn Free Credits” page of our app that a person who refers friends to Page Advisor will earn credits when the “referee” completes a job through the “Request Quotes” module of the Page Advisor app.
Owing to a bug in the app, there have been instances where consumers have been given credits where their referees purchased Packages through Page Advisor.
Notwithstanding this, our intention has always been to give credits only when the referree completes a job through the “Request Quotes” module. We have therefore removed all credits which were incorrectly awarded.
We understand that this has led to some unhappiness amongst some consumers, but this does not represent a change in Page Advisor’s position, which has always been clear: referral credits are awarded only on “Request Quotes” jobs.
REASSESSMENT OF THE REFERRAL PROGRAMME
In the meantime, we will reassess how we can make our Referral Programme more robust and less prone to abuse. We recognise the effort of our consumers in publicising the Referral Programme, and thank those of you who have used it for its intended purpose.
We hope to announce the resumption of our programme in the near future.
